Nissan lifter tick repair VG30DE Z32 300zx
Nissan Hydraulic lifter rebuild VG30DE Z32 300zx
I share how I disassembled and rebuilt my lifters on a Nissan V6 motor that had the dreaded lifter tick. Replacement lifters cost around $30 each so this is a great way to save some serious cash. I spent about 8 hours on these rebuilds. The process is not my original procedure. More than one Nissan forum has a write up on how to do this , but I wished to share a video on how I did it.

Remington 7mm 08 100 yard 10 shot accuracy test
Переглядів 212 тис.9 років тому
Range time with my Remington Model 7 in 7mm-08, and 120 grain Hornady Spire points, IMR 4895 at 100 yards. 10 shot group at 100 yards. I want to check Point of Aim and Point of impact for this load. Get ready for possible Fall deer season, and use it for a benchmark for my military surplus rifles that I have been shooting lately for a comparison for group size. Rifle is a Remington Model Seven,...

I found a carry load for my 44 Special Snubby
Переглядів 50 тис.10 років тому
After testing some reloaded XTP bullets and some CCI Gold Dot Factory loads I think I have stumbled upon a perfect carry load. The 200 grain XTP's will work fine for a practice load for the 200 grain CCI Gold Dot ammo. I test it for velocity across a chronograph and accuracy at 12.5 yards

Textured paint, rifle stock remodel
Переглядів 104 тис.10 років тому
I have been stuck inside during the 2014 Polar Vortex of Death cold spell, so I spent time tinkering in the shop. I decided to try a Rustoleum paint product to renew the stock on my Remington model 7 rifle. I share before and after video of how it turned out. Now I need to get to range and spend some trigger time.
Weaver 330, a vintage WWII sniper rifle scope
Переглядів 20 тис.10 років тому
I share a look at my pre- WWII rifle scope made by W.M. Weaver in El Paso Texas. This is an early example of quality made scopes that were affordable. Weaver revolutionized the shooting sports by bringing to market a product the common man could afford, and was almost equal in quality to expensive imported optics at the time.
Golf ball launcher for your AR-15

Take a look at a frivolous purchase I made. An AR-15 golf ball launcher. With a bucket of balls, and a handful of blank ammo, you can loose every ball you can spare.
Snubby revolvers suck, so I shoot one at 50 yards
Переглядів 86 тис.10 років тому
I saw a UA-cam video recently, where the channel shot a snub nosed revolver at a target, and was unable to connect, so they claimed snubby revolvers suck and are inaccurate. So to test this out I took my Colt 2 inch 38 special revolver to the range and shot it at a IDPA target at 50 yards to see for myself. The results surprised me.
Easy-Off Mosin Nagant stock refinish
Переглядів 187 тис.10 років тому
My Mosin Nagant M44 carbine stock finish was irregular and splotchy. So I used Easy Off oven cleaner to strip off the finish and remove cosmoline. This method does not require a lot of sanding, so there is little worry of changing the shape and contour of the stock. Linseed oil was used to refinish the stock. Watch the video and see how easy it was, and how it turned out.

Each one of those powders may look identically the same as far as grains and texture, but each may have a different burning rate of combustion. Beware for your own safety.

so i inherited my dads VAST gun collection and after a couple years i finally decided to look thru this old chest he had full of reloading stuff and misc gun crap. stumbled across this box full of these things. figured that’s what these were! very excited to try these out in the garage. also in this wooden chest was everything i need to reload😂. i had just ordered a 4 piece lee 9mm die set cause i wanna start reloading. knew i should’ve looked in here cause i found thousands of primers for every size they make, thousands of bullets for 9mm, .38 spl, .357, and 44 mag. and thousands of brass for each including the press, and dies for all those calibers, and some rifle dies. had no damn idea😂😮

Used these back in the seventies. Not so much now. The one place I still use them is with my break top hinge frame revolvers.and my Colt Lightning. These cartridges work in either .38 S&W type revolvers and revolvers chambered for .38 long Colt.

Too light of a bullet. Try some 140- 150 grain Sierra pro Hunter bullets and Varget powder. I would also recommend that you put the very front of the stock on the front rest and grab the rifle with the left hand and hang on to the rifle for dear life. You'll find that the rifle will be extremely steady when you do this. Mastering your Trigger control is the hardest of the 9 fundamentals of marksmanship. A solid cheek weld and natural point of aim is critical for precision marksmanship. This is only 3 of the nine fundamentals of marksmanship I have seen that you need to work on because it was pounded into my hade when I was professionally trained in San Diego. Semper Fi

I bought one new in 1989. Still have it. Hasn’t worked since 1992. Will fire the first round and fail to eject. I can cycle 100 rounds of snap caps through it to this day, no problem. Yes the gun is hyper clean and fails just as bad with mini mag as anything else. I know the solution must be more powerful ammo, but the only level higher is hyper velocity at 1,400 plus per second. Any advice would be appreciated. A gunsmith would be a waste of money since it cycles flawlessly.

I have a Taurus 441 and use alliant unique powder with Lyman 429421 SWC bullets I cast myself. Velocity is 950 fps from a 3” barrel. Yeah you guessed it the (Skeeter Load)! I also use underwood extreme defender 44 special in that gun. Extreme defender chronographed 1263 fps average from that 3”. Paul Harrel tested extreme defender 44 special ammo and got similar speeds in his 3” revolver.

I just bought a brand new bulldog and I love it. Great gun, mine is the new generation they just came out with according to the guys at Charter Arms. I notice mine has the new lettering on it and because its hammerless it came with the pocket rubber grip, and the trigger on the hammerless is much lighter and smoother then the others. I did not have to do a trigger job on this one. Thanks for a great video, appreciate it.

Speed loaders are not available for the charter arms and never have been. The charter arms undercover 38 special cylinder will not rotate when loaded. It is made that way. So there’s no way to use a speed loader..

I have the 5 shot undercover and use the speed loader Model 36 that I use in my Smith J frame 5 shot. Works fine and doesn't hurt rotation. But why do you have to rotate to load? Insert, turn knob to the right, shake and drop in.

Round for round, BP muzzleloading is loads more fun than cartridge guns! And much cheaper! A couple of hours on the range with a modern gun, you might go through 250 rounds easy, but with a front stuffing smokepole you might only shoot a 10th as many bullets and have just as much fun, if not more!

My Dad, in 1958 bought a "sporterized" 303 infield----thru the mail. He saw an ad in popular mechanics magazine, for the gun, two magazines, four small boxes of ammo all for the astronomical price of $15.99. Im not sure but I believe that was including shipping. The barrel was shortened a little and a "sport" front blade sight was installed along with a new cut down stock. He kept the gun till his death with both he and I using it for deer hunting. After his death my mom gave it to me and it is still in VG condition. I (now age 76) will pass on my entire gun collection to my grandson. Just this evening he was curious what all was in the collection that he hadnt seen, so I pulled out the .303 and 2 of the m1 carbines that I have-----he Had to ask "now when exactly are you giving these to me"? My answer was "hopefully not soon"
